VINEYARD VINYASA WAS ESTABLISHED IN FEBRUARY 2O2O BY A FEMALE ENTREPRENEUR COMMITTED TO INNOVATING THE GROUP FITNESS LANDSCAPE ON MARTHA'S VINEYARD.
What began as a tiny act of courageousness, quickly turned into a 20 mat studio in 1 years time. Showing up daily and investing in a vision of the future she could not see brought the studio to life despite the uncertainty of the time.
What makes Vineyard Vinyasa so remarkable? The Teachers. The community. The values the studio itself is founded on. The integrity and open-heartedness of every person who steps foot into our space. As we intentionally build our team, we mindfully generate a space overflowing with love, grit, accountability and acceptance. Real recognize real, no exhaustive explanation required. Our practice is a felt experience of connection to something True.
Catch our drift? Vineyard Vinyasa isn’t just another fitness studio. We are fully committed to adding value to your day-to-day life through movement, leadership & personal development. We're all-in to being the best part of your day and becoming a place you call home.
We are your Community. We are your Family. We are Vineyard Vinyasa.

Erika Ann Davies is from Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts, a tiny town on the island of Martha’s Vineyard. She was initiated into to the practice and eventual study of yoga as a dynamic young person with a host of imperfections, insecurities, inconsistencies, weaknesses, and character defects. Now, nearly 20 years later, as a revered community leader, studio owner, professional yoga teacher and eternally devoted student- Erika possesses improved range of motion, increased strength and flexibility, a host of imperfections, insecurities, inconsistencies, weaknesses and character defects, and a much improved sense of humor (depending on who you ask).
Erika attended her first yoga class in college in 2001, and began practicing vinyasa in 2006. She trained extensively with the Sivananda International School, a monastic order of Yoga Vedanta since completing her first 350 hr immersive Teacher Training in Taichung City, Taiwan in December 2013. She continues her studies under the guidance of Swami Sitaramananda in the subjects of Hatha Yoga, Pranayama, Meditation, Jyotish and Ayurveda at the organization’s West Coast Ashram in Grass Valley, California. Erika completed the Advanced 500hr Teacher Training in April 2016 in Dalat, Vietnam, and exhausting the school’s curriculum since then, she has surpassed well over 1,400 hours of internationally accredited study.
Erika opened Vineyard Vinyasa Hot Power Yoga in July 2020 after having taught workshops, public and private classes regularly since 2014. An eternal student of what it means to live with integrity, Erika brings her diverse knowledge, experience and committed personal study to the service of the island community, and continues to teach and practice daily. Outside of the studio, she spends most of her time with her husband in the woods with their dogs, growing things, cooking meals or playing records.

Maggie’s journey into yoga and fitness launched when she moved to Long Beach Island, NJ after graduating from Kutztown University in 2016. She began working at Pyour Core, the highest standard of boutique pilates and fitness studios, located on the island. Her time there was invaluable. She would eventually complete certifications with AntiGravity Aerial Yoga, Total Barre, Cross Core and more.
Maggie’s life long connection to nature and seeking led her to receive her Reiki level 1 and 2 attunements in 2016 followed by completing her 200hr YTT with the Radiant Heart Yoga School at Yoga Bohemia in Beach Haven, NJ in 2017. She began teaching Vinyasa, Yin and Stand-up Paddle Board Yoga with Yoga Bohemia. Later in 2018, Maggie went to the Yandara Yoga Institute in Baja, Mexico where she completed her 500hr YTT focusing on Yin, Restorative and Kundalini. She also received her Reiki Level 3 and Master attunements.
She has spent the last few years applying all that she has learned to her life; with an extra focus on health and well-being. She continues this work, while studying and developing her craft further to bring you exactly what you’re needing when you step into a class with her.

Craig began his yoga practice at the start of December 2020. He instantly became addicted to all things that hot yoga offered and began a very deep dive into self, as well as, the hot yoga teachings and practice as a whole. Craig received his 200hr hot yoga teacher training certification Spring of 2021 from HOT YOGA MV. Craig’s class is energetic and invigorating and will find you walking out of the studio feeling nourished and alive. Off the mat, Craig enjoys staying busy, working, driving on the beach, fishing, hanging out with his dog, and traveling.

Hot yoga first found Lizzie in 2012, she was quickly drawn to the heat and dynamic movements of the hot vinyasa practice. Lizzie has studied with teachers all over the world including in Bali, Los Angeles, and London. While she has had a regular vinyasa practice since 2013, she has also practiced and studied the Ashtanga method, HOT 26xTWO, Buti Yoga, Anusara and Kundalini. In 2020, she received her 200hr certification from HOT YOGA MV. She resides on Martha’s Vineyard for the majority of the year and is passionate about all forms of movement & exercise. Off the mat, Lizzie is a traveler and avid nature and gardening enthusiast.

With 20 years of practice, study and teaching, my vision is to bridge ancient yoga wisdom to modern day living, in an inclusive and accessible way. I am passionate about sharing yoga and I do so with reverence and sense of humor. Every practice is a celebration of life itself! My classes are a soulful blend of postures, breath work, philosophy, meditation, and devotional practices.
